Honestly, it’s a complete mess! Awful shiny muddy finish with runs all over it.
That is a pretty poor quality piece to start with. By the time you have bought the naptha, the three tins of stain, the spraycan of shellac and the top quality brush, you’d be cheaper to buy a new unit. If it was a genuine antique, it would be criminal to slap a stain on top of it anyway.
What was the wait time between the shellac and the stain?
