Roadside Rescue Turns Out to be a High-End Brand! Teak Table Restoration

I didn’t expect it to be such fancy furniture! 🤩

I never heard of brand furniture, so I couldn’t believe my eyes when I googled it!

I’m also glad it had that label on it because my dumb self didn’t even know it was teak wood.

I would have refinished it the totally wrong way!

Luckily some teak cleaner, teak oil, and elbow grease is all it took to make it happy again.

Oh, and in case you were wondering, I was sore for days after scrubbing so aggressively. 😂

Now I need a cover for it and some chairs . . .

Would you have rescued this from the side of the road?

  1. Do not use teak oil on outside teak furniture. Use a teak sealer. Teak oil will eventually invite mold and your furniture will have little black spots of mold and you will have to start all over. Use a quality teak cleaner followed by a teak brightener. After 24-48 hours when the teak is completely dry, apply a teak sealer like Semco teak sealer.

  2. Last year l bought two small garden chairs and matching table ( coffee table size ) – just for ten pounds at a car boot sale – it is exactly the kind of wood you are cleaning- l cleaned it and coated with Danish oil – they look beautiful in the garden – this year they need another coat of oil – l will look out for the Teak oil too .
